Who's your Internet Service Provider?

Thu Jun 09, 2005 7:21 pm

1. Who's your ISP?
2. What's your download and upload speed? (if known)
3. Rate your internet service from 1-10, 10 being the best.

Thank you.

Right now I'm just using AOL :P hahaha but I used to have Time Warner. Connection was always good and fast never had any complain and I would rate the service a 8.5.

Tonite, I've been looking for DSL service in my area and more than likely I will be signing up for Yahoo DSL which is only $14.95 per month for 12 months, 1.5 Mbps and 24/7 customer service support.

1. sonera finland, it's supposed to be adsl
2. depends on the source, at best download speed is 70 kbs
3. 1, sometimes it doesn't work at all, sometimes it cuts me off all of a sudden

1. TPG (1500/256, 20GB DL Limit, $50 a month)
2. Download about 170KB uploads not sure how much per sec but to upload a file about 60 MB will take half an hour
3. 6 out of 10
Downloads are great for TPG, but the pings are very inconsistent which makes gaming very annoying.

  1. NetATOnce (Sweden)
  2. 8/1 MBit. Although my modem is fucked, so I can only come up to 3/1.
  3. 6/10. It's really cheep, but it shows in other areas (instable, horrible tech support etc.)...

1) PLDT myDSL (Philippines)
2) not sure.. but the average download speed is somewhere at 40-50kbps
3) i'll give it 8 out of 10! 8-)

1. TPG
2. 512/128, no limits
3. 7 out of 10 - Haven't had any major issues.

Will be upgrading in the coming days / weeks to:

1.VeratNet ISP
2.16800bps, 1kbps download
3.4/10, because of their salesmen

Thu Jun 09, 2005 10:55 pm

1. Tiscali/KPN ADSL
2. down: 353.1 KByte/sec, up: 60.7 KByte/sec
3. 1/10, there are days I can't get it to work or it only works 1 minute and then it's down 5 minutes.

Thu Jun 09, 2005 11:45 pm

Earthlink High Speed
download: 5mbps, upload:484kbps

Right now I'm just using AOL :P hahaha but I used to have Time Warner.

Isn't that one and the same because those two companies merged, AOL-Time Warner?

Fri Jun 10, 2005 12:33 am

  • Casema Cable Internet
  • Downloads: 448.2KByte/sec & Uploads: 58.3 KByte/sec
  • 6.5

The rating is so low because their service itself is good, but their person to person service sucks. Sometimes when the internet will fall out, you call them up and they'll just read you a manual they have in front of them and then it's supposed to be all good. Pff.
