My New Pc is Messed

hi guys i just bought a new pc and im currently using it right now.but it was difficult to run programs because the EXPLORER.exe wasnt loading up.it has Windows xp on it and i was wondering if there is a way to run the explorer again or help where its located. thanks in advanced.

Hmm, that's a weird one.

Have you tried going to Run and typing in Explorer.exe?

format..

Do a fresh install of windows xp. would be a solid solution.

Try what Jackal said first... if you can't get to a run prompt, hit controlaltdelete and go file->new task, which takes you to the run menu.

on a more serious note, use the Internet Explorer setup found mostly in game cd's like the nba live 2003 and the such and upgrade your explorer.exe from there.that might do the trick

I'm guessing he's not talking about Internet Explorer. If you knew anything about PC's you'd know that Internet Explorer is shown as iexplorer.exe in the active process list when Ctrl-Alt-Delete is pressed, explorer isn't IE, it's Windows on it's own.

If I'm not mistaken and you end the explorer process, either your computer restarts or your taskbar disappears. It could also refresh, I don't remember.

i uninstalled my dsl and it worked perfect. what i think ill do is just send it to the best buy geeks so the can install it.
