What does vector mean? I learned it in discrete geometry but I don't know what it means relating to art

Great work though, it looks amazing.

I don't wanna sound rude or anything but what's so great? I could do that with a brown permanant marker and some Dorito's.

Sun Apr 17, 2005 3:59 pm

That took you 3 hours?

You need to find a real hobby thats more productive then that.

Show me. And can I have some Dorito's? :D

Yeh, it was pretty hard since it was my first time to actually handle the pen tool with handy. Locating those shadows were pretty tough.

I've done something like this before. except it was on flash. don't have it anymore though. i was just playing around with it

I can't see any pictures/images uploaded to photobucket. Strange, I can't access anything of Photobucket or anything of Dotorg?

Sun Apr 17, 2005 11:17 pm

That's pretty good. Personally I don't see the point of it, but it does look kind of cool.

With some pics you can get a effect that's quite the same just by using the Cutout filter, that'll save you 3 (!) hours for just a picture of a fat guy.

^ That works and it takes 30 seconds. Example:

A good handmade vector crushes the cutout tool anyday.

Mikki, your vector looks excellent for a 1st. You just need to add some darker and lighter tones it looks very bland right, and also try and also try to make some of his features like eyebrows, beard, nose a lil more neatly, they are quite jagged right now. Hopefully some of those links above will give you some ideas.

Wow!!! Louis, are those yours?

Mon Apr 18, 2005 2:52 am

No, they're all from wcremix.com.
I'd pick "7.5/10+30 sec work" over "10/10+5 hrs work" anyday, why spend so much time on ONE graphical thing? And I really prefer a real pic above both anyway...
Just my 2 cents though.
