I hope I'm not done now... (Semi-interesting story)

Mon Apr 11, 2005 11:36 am

Well, on Thursday at my school, one of my friends was on the computer in English class. (Our English teacher doesn't care what we do really, I even post here sometimes. :headbang: ) But anyway, on our school website is the pictures of the administration. The athletic director, principal, and assistant principle. Well, he found a picture of the assistant principal, and a picture of Adolf Hitler and tried to put the assistant principal's (Mr. Shifflett aka Mr. Sh*tlett) head on Hitler. He was using MS Paint, so its really useless. I told him I have photoshop and I'd do it that night and bring it in. I did it with the whole staff. I put Mr. Shifflett's head on Hitler, Mr. Keeling (athletic dir.) on Dilbert, cuz everyone says he looks like Dilbert, and Mr. Deardorff (Head principal) on some demonic creature's head. His face was so red in the pic, it was crazy.

Assistant Principal/Athletic Director/ Head Principle (look how red he is, lol)

Anyway, I brought it in and showed him and some girl in the class, and they said it was alright, but Shifflett's was the best. I took it to lunch, and in the gym I showed it to one person, and they laughed so friggin hard. They said it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen, so they showed it to a guy that was lying on the floor. He was literally rolling, it was so funny. Then I proceeded to show more people, and it was so damn funny it was crazy. I showed this girl, and she wanted to show it to the Spanish teacher, Mr. Lopez. She said she'd tell him that she found it on the bleacher, not that I did it, so she gave it to him. Everyone else said they wouldn't rat me out. Well, I had his class last, right after my next class. When I got there all seemed well until someone brought it up. It's only a 5 person class, so its safe. She was like, "Did you see that picture they were showing at lunch?" My Spanish teacher, Mr. Lopez said it was funny and described it to us. I laughed as if I never saw it/made it. I told one person in there that I knew I could trust.

Then Mr. Lopez said he showed Mr. Keeling, the athletic director. :bang: But thankfully, Mr. Keeling found it funny. Well, I don't think it was the same for Mr. Shifflett and Deardorff now. My sister's friend called and said that the computer teacher (I don't have pc class this year) found it, and it was assumed that someone did it in her class, so far. Then she said they were blaming it on the kid that was doing it in English class the day before. I told him when I saw him at the mall, and he said he didn't care, and he doesn't know how to work a computer anyway. Also, that word got out quick and they were even discussing it at communist kick ball (soccer) practice (no offense).

So, I don't think they know it was me yet, but too many people in the school know for my own good. I'm hoping they won't bust me, because I hardly ever get in trouble. If push comes to murde-shove I mean, then I'll probably get Saturday school, which is 8 am - 12 am in school. You can't sleep, talk, eat, listen to music, or play gameboy or anything, or else you get suspended or come back again. I'm just looking for any input to argue my case, like its not in the handbook, and since we're making our last run to the end of the year, people needed to lighten up. Maybe even say that if I get in trouble, I'll make more.

So any comments are welcome. Help a brother out.

i came out a bust too back in HS where i mailed a letter to the principal about our PE teacher as a gay.....i mean it crack me up knowing he is not gay.....then all of the sudden people i trust started pointing the finger at me, so i have no chioce but to came out in the open and admit the whole thing...i was suspended for 3 games at our school soccer team and i was placed on disciplinary for a couple of months.......but that was about it......the guilt feeling was gone.......i felt happy........i suggest you came out in the open....only go to your guidance councilor for assistance.....never break it out to anyone at all......just the ederly and the poeple involved.........trust me it will solve a lot of head aches in the end (Y)

How seriously can they punish you though? It's really not that big an issue. It's not violent in anyway, not like you're showing them getting killed or something. Obviously they can punish you, but really, it's just their heads on hitler.

If they do find out its you, stick your head on like a gay guy's body or something. See if they find that funny. If they do, how can they get you in trouble. If you're willing to take a joke against you, it's a knock on their character and integrity not to be able to take one as well. Either way, it's stupid if they do a serious punishment.

Good luck anyways

I'm sure there would be a rule they could say it was against - they could call it slander, insubordination, hate speech or something, whatever they can to justify punishment since I don't believe many schools have rules that specifically state it's an offense to photoshop staff photos. But there are other school rules that would be able to cover things like that.

So what, RR? You didn't do anything that bad, it was just fun. I'm sure the staff won't be so much bothered by your photoshop skills...

Still, what if the guy in Hitler had parents that survived the Holocaust, or the guy in a demon's body was a devoted Christian? Like Andrew said, they could justify the punishment, but at the same time, it could offend them for the potential reasons I listed above.

Thu Apr 14, 2005 1:22 am

Yeah, if it offends them enough, they will find some backwards way of justifying a punishment (N).

I talked to ruffryder recently though and he said he still hasn't been caught :)
