5 year old arrested

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (March 18) - A 5-year-old girl was arrested, cuffed and put in back of a police cruiser after an outburst at school where she threw books and boxes, kicked a teacher in the shins, smashed a candy dish, hit an assistant principal in the stomach and drew on the walls.

Well, it is assult, vandalism and stuff. I doubt she'll get any kind of punishment but getting put in a police cruiser...that would scare the shit out of any 5 year old. I doubt she'll kick the principle in the stomach anytime soon.

Last Year in 8th Grade, Middle School Principle got Bitchslapped in the middle of a fight he was trying to break up. LOL. Nothing happened to the kid, we just clowned the Principle hard for the entire day.

Sounds like the child might have some problems, but arresting a five year old and charging her with battery is just crazy. I think it might be an idea to explore some counselling to see whether she's got ADHD or something similar, but criminal charges? It just seems a little bit over the top to me.

well i guarentee you that the parents won't try to discipline her in any kind of way. maybe put her in timeout for 15 minutes if i did something like that, i would probably be still put on punishment.

Its very sad but school violence is on a rise everywhere in the world, but I would say America is the worst affected by school violence, I dont why but its like America is destined to be a violent nation. TV Violence is definitely the biggest cause, these days its not a big deal for 8 year olds to be watching violent movies where theirs plenty of shooting and aggresive behaviour, when you're young your minds open to all borders so unless someone's there to guide you your gonna end up thinking hey, I can do this and that too!. I mean their are 14 year old moms these days, 13 year olds dealin on the streets, 11 year olds having sex, life has changed so much, no longer do parents care for explicit lyrics in music or the rating level of the movie, it seems ok to do anything you want these days.

And the accessibility of guns. Fear and attitude plays a big role too, as there's so much bad influence everywhere. Movies, tv, and video games may play a role, but I don't think it's so much the problem as attitude.

Bullies. Bullies piss kids off and the kids think they have to solve their own problems. They don't think rationally and they kill the sorry ass mofo.

Find the article, and I'll point out a flaw in the study. Just because it's a study doesn't mean it's a proven fact. Correlation does not mean causation. I bet the full study is: "A person who pledge not to have sex until they are married are just as likely to get STDs than people who had sex with one person before committing to marriage with the same person."
