How Long Would It Take Someone To Catch Andrew?

Mon Mar 01, 2004 6:53 am

How long would it take someone to catch Andrew in posts if they went non-stop until they caught him?

Mon Mar 01, 2004 7:24 am

All of this is if Andrew wasn't to go past his current number of 7168

At their current post rate it would take the top three users this many days to catch Andrew:
Andrew, if he started all over: 556
Colin: 837
ruffryder8: 1332

If a brand new user signed up it would have to make this many posts a day to catch Andrew in the listed time:
A Year: 19.64 (or .82 posts per hour)
Six Months: 39.28 (or 1.64 posts per hour)
One Month: 235.66 (or 9.82 posts per hour)
One Week: 1024 (or 42.67 posts per hour)
2 Days: 3584 (or 149.33 posts per hour)
36 Hours: 4778.67 (or 199.11 posts per hour)
24 Hours: 7168 (or 298.67 posts per hour)
12 Hours: 14336 (or 597.33 posts per hour)
6 Hours: 28672 (or 1194.67 posts per hour)

Colin makes .25 posts per hour, he'd have to triple that to even get close to Andrew within a year.

Solid proof that I spend a fair amount of time online.

It probably wouldn't be too difficult to catch me in posts in a month or so, though you'd have to drag up a lot of old posts to do so (and I'd have to stop posting for a while). That would annoy everyone though, as it would require a lot of spamming (which is officially against the rules these days). It would be easier for Nick and Colin though.

Creativity, thy name is Nick Barnshaw.

heh colin826 Nick k08e4mvp and Tales current post added together is barely over Andrew's total post..

Tue Mar 02, 2004 10:50 pm

i say its impossible to catch andrew..heh. Its like trying to catch a moving train. Colin could have done it though..but he hardly posts here now.

10-th just 7180 more to reach Andrew.
I will make it,i will..

I could, just wait until the summer

J/K I'll never catch up, I stopped posting here as much because I had a lot of basketball. And so I focused more on .org. Funny that me, Nick, K08e, and Tales posts added up is just barely over Spamdrew, the resident web spamaster

TheBob...tell me..is this a complaint thread or a thread meant to be funny? Cause if you're complaining about andrew's actions it should be either emailed to him or posted in the nlsc issues section..not here.

Yes, I do announce the new roster updates in two forums, though the one in NLSC Roster Patch Issues is intended to be a support thread for the current version, while the one in Announcements is just an announcement (though I also take suggestions that are posted in the announcement thread) since not everyone reads the Roster Patch forum.

Wouldn't that be why everyone posts in multiple forums? In order to get their message seen by the most people possible?

Someone at another forum I visit got over 1000 posts in a month. That's about 35 posts per day. Estimating from TheBob's stats (or dividing Andrew's current post count 7252 by 1000), it would take him about 7-8 months to reach Andrew if he stopped posting.

Most likely. And by doing so, they would be posting in the wrong forum at least once.
