Don't know if anyone really cares...but some of you remember that I did a radio reporting internship over the summer (where I did the Nets Read to Achieve story).
Well I did another story over that internship about Capoeira...it was a 6-minute feature type story.
I just got a call from my supervisor at that internship telling me that the Capoeira story won a 1st place award from the Garden State Association of Black Journalists for Feature Radio.
That's pretty good...considering that the award was for all Black journalists and not just interns in the area. WBGO, the station I worked for is also doing a press release and I'm going to be profiled in my hometown paper. (for the second time)
But maybe the most ironic is that I already sent out one of my film school applications before I found this out.
Ah well...I'll give'em a call.

I'm a recording engineer and I record and do live sound for bands and rappers out here.I did about 4 internships before I got my first big break.
Keep doin what ya doin bro and it will all pay off,jus stay focused on the goal playa.
