Batman v Superman may be getting most of the attention right now, but it seems there's another DC movie that I'm now looking forward to:
Kevin Conroy & Mark Hamill Star In Animated "Batman: The Killing Joke"Following rumors regarding the voice cast of Warner Bros. Animation's upcoming adaptation of "The Killing Joke," CBR News can exclusively confirm that Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will reprise their roles as Batman and the Joker for the film.
In addition to Conroy and Hamill, who first teamed together as Batman and the Joker in the seminal "Batman: The Animated Series," Tara Strong will voice Barbara Gordon/Batgirl and Ray Wise will voice Commissioner Gordon in "Batman: The Killing Joke."
And a still that Mark Hamill
Tweeted out:

Some of the DC Animated films have been really good, with "Under the Red Hood" and "The Flashpoint Paradox" being two of my favourites. The Killing Joke is fantastic, so hopefully the film does it justice.

Have you seen any of the other animated films? They may be struggling with the live action films post-Dark Knight Trilogy, but the animated ones have been on-point in my view.

As I said, The Flashpoint Paradox and Under the Red Hood are two of my favourites. The Dark Knight Returns was great too.

Batman: The Killing Joke isn’t kidding around. Warner Bros’. direct-to-video animated film based on the notorious Alan Moore comic has been rated R, the studio’s home entertainment division tells EW exclusively.
The Killing Joke marks the first film in the DC Universe Original Movie franchise to receive an R rating

thank you deadpool
but seriously this one needed to be rated R

I imagine that's due to the nudity. A couple of the other Batman films in that lineup arguably could've reached that rating with some of the violence and whatnot.

That's more like it, a full trailer. Looks awesome.

Hope the R rating makes it live up to the hype unlike the overrated Under The Red Hood.

I think there's been some fair criticism of the movie, but I watched it this week, and thought it was pretty good. I understand people's distaste for the long opening and some of the choices they made, but I didn't mind them. There's precedent there, at least in Batman Beyond. Aside from that, I thought the adaptation of the original graphic novel was very well done. Again, I understand why some people don't like it, but personally, I did like it.

And I'm pleased they still left the ending as-is.

Absolutely, ambiguous as it was always intended.
