Has anyone played it yet? Give your thoughts if you have. I saw it at a local videogame store yesterday (I think it was recently released).

It's not out yet, though I'll definitely get it since it has Xbox Live play. If only they had the shoes that Live has, it would be so much better. It has better player models and faces in my opinion.

yea its wicked. if u havnt seen it, its pretty much just isolation play.. but wen u dribble and get fancy, the defense can counter it..how, i dont know yet.. but ive seen the offensive part of this feature and it is awesome... personally, what im looking forward to is the new meter, in which a players anger is measured and wen it builds up, they can get a tech, or a flagrant....how many games have this... hopefully they didnt take this feature out or cancel it or something like a certain other game *ahem EA ahem* who took out one of the features that swayed me into looking into it in the first place (throw back teams)....ESPN all the way

Just a question. Will this game only be available for consoles or also for PC?

here ya go ruffryder.......

*note

- watch the jerseys THEY MOVE!

- i like that little welcome take down by kobe on lebron... notice that the fall is realistic and he doesnt fly all over the place, or the ball doesnt go out of control like last year...

- help defense is good, but a bit slow..

- this is most likely on the easiest level (which would explain the easy crosses and the falling) so that they could showcase the offense..

enjoy......

hey guys.. just found out something VERY VERY INTERESTING... im not taking credit for finding out this information.. i saw it in another forum at operation sports and just informin your guys.. okay.. it turns out that espn baskeball had another "HIDDEN FEATURE" it's.. get this.... A 24/7 feature....
it works like this:
whatever time your playstation, gc, xbox is programed to, thats the real time in ESPN NBA Basketball, and it keeps going whether its on or off...
now certain players, legendary and modern, will be at the street courts at a certain time.. for instance, Larry Bird will be at the courts at 5:00 pm... so if you want to face him and show him what you got, you could show up at 5:00 and face him one on one... and if you win, you unlock extras... what they are i dont know..

again... im not 100% sure that this is true... but many people have been saying that they read about it in the latest game mag.. opm or sum like dat..
correct me if im wrong...

i think that this is a great feature because its kind of like "NBA Ballers" built into ESPN NBA... plus we have the 2on2 3on3 4on4 5on5 streetball on top of it...

ahhhh :D so much better than lives street features..

thoughts??.......

check out new (perhaps old, to some people) vids of espn basketball

http://www.operationsports.com/media/movies/espnnba/espnnba8.wmv
http://www.operationsports.com/media/movies/espnnba/espnnba9.wmv
http://www.operationsports.com/media/movies/espnnba/espnnba10.wmv
http://www.operationsports.com/media/movies/espnnba/espnnba11.wmv

here's a list of things that i've noticed:
1. hmmmm... looks like espn basketball have a new street mode... a la... 21.
2. their defense is beefed up a lil bit
3. a glimpse of the new feature....24/7..... basically you play a 'handicap' match with players around the country. plus many new outdoor courts.
4. tons of new player accessories in 'created player' section. i personally like the guitar.. hehe... reminds me of Desperado.... ooo.. and dont forget the pink bunny slippers
5. training camp... where nba live hires specific coaches to increase the attributes, espn uses individual training session to boost up their ratings

one more thing... it seems that every offensive player plays like vince, kobe, or t-mac. did u see that crossover and the dunk by yao? i know yao has quick feet but that's just too much.

After years of playing Live, I think I'll check this game out. My friends tell me it's way better than Live 2004(and you can use the D-Pad for player movement).

Does anyone know where I could get updated rosters for ESPN?
