Cut and Continue Download

what kind of program or software should i use to cut and continue my download? for example i'm downloading a 450MB file from this site and i have downloaded 200MB already but i decided to continue downloading the remaining 250MB the next day? any suggestion? i used to have a program like that before but it's not working now with my mozilla firefox.

A download manager is what you're after, though with browsers like Firefox and Chrome there's likely a plugin that'll do the trick.

thanks for answering, but may i know what are the compatible plug-in that i can use here at NLSC? i install DownThemAll plug-in for my Firefox and it works for other web sites, but not here at NLSC.

I'm not sure which are compatible and which aren't, sorry. As far as I'm aware we're not doing anything ordinary so I would've thought there'd be no problem.

Ok so i test again and try to download, pause and resume. Yes it's working now but what i notice, there are some files here in the download section that you cannot pause and resume. anyway those files are not really big in terms of MB so no need to pause and resume. thanks!

I'm guessing the external links are working but the ones uploaded through the Downloads section are not?

Yes that's exactly the case, all external links works fine.

I've double checked the support forum for the mod we're using for the Downloads section and unfortunately it doesn't support the use of download managers (except with externally hosted files). However, I just tested Chrome's in-built pause/resume function and it works fine.
