This is for anyone who celebrates Christmas, or just listens to the Radio in the winter. When do you guys think that it's acceptable to play Christmas music? For me, the day after thanksgiving is a little bit early.
I suppose any time beginning December 1st is fair enough. Aside from old favourites being played on the radio, I'm guessing most people will still pick and choose when they go out of their way to play or listen to Christmas music, specifically during Christmas parties and during gatherings on Christmas Day itself.
I think playing them on the radio is a bit different to playing them in supermarkets and department stores. I've heard Christmas Carols over supermarket P.A. systems in October before, which is fucking ridiculous.
On the other hand, "Merry Christmas (War is Over)" is good all year round.

Definitely. Mind you, at least they waited until October to play the music, the Christmas merchandise sometimes goes out even earlier than that. Or the Easter stuff, just past Christmas.
