Shadow- scientist really don't know much about the structure of the neutrinos. It is an electrically neutral, weakly interacting elementary subatomic particle. One thing the scientist don't know is the mass of the neutrino, if they even have one. If neutrinos are massless, they must travel at the speed of light. However, if they have mass, they cannot reach the speed of light. The experiment showed that they travel FASTER than the speed of light.Obviosuly prior to this discovery time travel was something we could only see in science fiction. Perhaps it will stay that way, but you can't say that man kind isn't one step closer to time travel. I obviously turned up to be overly optimistic with that idea, and am a belliever that it can be done.
About Neutrinos - They are proven to be faster than light. neutrinos don't make the best vessel signal-wise sending them to the past because they pass through ordinary matter almost unaffected, interacting only so much with the wider world.
So pshysicists could theoretically send them into the past, THEORETICALLY, OK SHADOW? But even if they would succeed in that matter, chances of someone noticing them are almost equal to zero. Sending messagges to the past is obviously more likely and easy than time travel. But one step at a time, we could reach that point one day. Just look what we accomplished in the last 100 years. Technology and science are improving so drastically that this can only be a good thing.
You really can't make many hard facts on about if it is really possible or not, but you can always hope
