isn't this a tune-up fight for Pacquiao and mayweather or is that fight still not happening?

Is not happening because Mayweather is a coward.

According to the Pacquiao camp drug testing isn't a problem anymore for them but the split of the fight purse is a problem for the Mayweather camp. The ball is back to Mayweather so to speak.

There's no way Mayweather or Pacquiao are that stupid to even consider that type of deal (Pacquiao maybe but his handlers won't). It's just another cop out.

Both fighters were in control so in my opinion it's not really controversial as it could go either way.

Manny was kinda slow in this fight and it cost him. He doesn't have that "Knockout instinct" and Power that he use to dominate for like a decade now. Maybe because the age is starting to get to him or he is just bored or Marquez is just good but damn in like the last 5 fights of Pacquiao it goes to a 12 round decision.

well hasn't manny been off doing politics and other stuff? look at Rampage Jackson who looked sluggish and lackluster in his first fight back from filming The A-Team. it's definitely a disadvantage when you stop focusing on fighting

He wasn't slow, he was a bit tentative for half the duration of the fight. They knew Marquez was great counter-puncher and were guarding against it. He's not the same Pacquiao that goes crazy like an animal every time he gets hit by a punch. Just look at those 3-punch combo counters that Marquez threw automatically like he was a damn robot.

Power that he use to dominate for like a decade now.

You have to give Marquez credit for not bulking up 'empty' unlike the Mayweather fight. Marquez was obviously 'thicker' than Pacquiao and Marquez still managed to keep his own speed despite the increase in bulk to help absorb Pacquiao's damage. And Marquez has always been a tough SOB, he never has a KO loss in his career. All losses were decisions.

Marquez is just good

This is the better explanation than Pacquiao not being Pacquiao. People can't accept that Marquez is skilled. Marquez technique is good at neutralizing Pacquiao. Marquez is Pacquiao's red kryptonite!

damn in like the last 5 fights of Pacquiao it goes to a 12 round decision.

He went up in weight. Those opponents may not have the same 'power' as Pacquiao but they are already used to taking such damage.

Maybe because the age is starting to get to him

lol at this. Pacquiao is 32 as compared to Marquez who's 38.

I'm still surprised that people think Marquez as some chump that can easily be KO'd by Pacquiao so they are disappointed with the result of the fight going to decision.

Still, Marquez was mind fucked. Pacquiao fought in Marquez's pace and Pacquiao still managed to land more punches and win.

Pacquiao definitely has the tendency to start things slow so maybe that's why I said he was slow. I was expecting him to went apeshit in like the 5th round but didn't get the rhythm until the 11th or 10th round

Yeah, have to give Marquez the credit. He managed to have a good guard against Pacquiao power punches.

This is the better explanation than Pacquiao not being Pacquiao. People can't accept that Marquez is skilled. Marquez technique is good at neutralizing Pacquiao. Marquez is Pacquiao's red kryptonite!

Well fuck.

Maybe they are just surprised that Marquez has managed to outbox Pacquiao and has managed to get him out of his usual fighting style?

I am not disappointed that the fight goes into a decision but I am disppointed on the decision. I mean Marquez looks like the clear winner.

Was the most aggressive and was really the better boxer than Pacquiao? From what I saw anyway.
