The big videos are nice but this is getting ridiculous. My resolution is 1366x768 and the video doesn't even come close to fitting on the screen. Looks very cool though. The first one was far too glitchy for my taste but I meant to play the second. This one looks insane.

DEAL WITH IT.

We go big for big games like this and Batman. (Tell Google to put a fullscreen button on the embeds.) You could of course always watch it on youtube with your right mouse button or the logo in the corner.

The fact you haven't played the second one is basically a hate crime. The first one can't even compare. The second one is the best of the genre. It's better than all the GTA games easily.

The second one was fun, but it ended up collecting dust after I bought Red Dead Redemption. Might check this one out.

I'm still trying to figure out if benji is being serious with this... This stuff looks straight up awful.

Correct, given all the boring gameplay footage and various mediocre reviews about it, I decided to skip it. This is really miles away from GTA.

Yeah, Saints Row 2 is in orbit and GTA was buried under an ocean of crap until the Episodes got it back to sea level. Just Cause 2 has the better core action gameplay because of the grapple and parachute mechanic, but nothing has the sheer variety, design and outright stupid fun of Saints Row 2. These are objective facts not open to debate, Saints Row 2 is simply objectively and factually superior.

Says it all:
Guy on SA wrote:Decided to time how long it took in both GTA IV and Saints Row 2 until you kill (or in GTA IV's term, "Knock Out") your first non-pedestrian.
GTA IV: 28 Minutes, 45 seconds (assuming you blow off the date and decide to go help Roman instead)
SR2: 3 Minutes, 5 seconds.

Also worth noting, I did not get my first weapon through the story until approximately 33 minutes into GTA IV. In Saints Row 2, I had a nightstick, pistol, shotgun and an assault rifle in my inventory and was using a machine gun to blow up police helicopters and boats within the first 8 minutes of the game.

And despite itself, Saints Row 2 has the best premise and story of any of the games.

Benji recently convinced me to at least try Saints Row 2. If you had fun in Ballad of Gay Tony or San Andreas, you need to at least give it a shot.
Opinions are my own.

Dammit benji. Provide a link like Jao does. I want to watch those vids in full screen. Clicking on the vid or YouTube mark doesn't bring me to the vid itself so I have to do three clicks instead of the usual one. Do it dammit.

Me too.

They used to have one and it worked quite well. In some places I notice one, but it doesn't work. I don't know why they changed it.

Convince me to try SR2. I tried it at a friends for a few minutes, but the cars turned out to be some weird rocketships on wheels and the graphics looked nothing like it had been portrayed. The gameplay was just uninspiring to me.

I enjoyed oblivion even though I don't like rpg games. Obviously fallout 3, arkham asylym, the gta series, hitman series, the original deus ex, vampire bloodlines, half life series, etc. I like branching storyline games with action, or open world games with a good linear storyline.
