HDTV Input Lag Problem

Postby rise on Thu May 19, 2011 11:20 am

So I've had this new 37" Vizio HDTV flatscreen for a couple weeks, and the input lags a lot- to the point where playing video games just pisses me off and I can't get anything done. I'd say the lag is somewhere between a half-second to 3/4 second, but I can't really tell exactly how much. It's pretty significant though.

Before this, I had this 1985 Sony tube - games worked perfectly on that, so it's not the consoles. Anybody got any ideas?

Took a quick Google search and this might help.

If it doesn't have a "fast response" setting, check to see if it has a game mode. If it doesn't, turn off any post processing like sharpening or noise reduction on the tv.

I found "game mode", it works a lot better, although the lag is still there and kind of noticeable, it's much better and more playable. Thanks guys!
