360, PS3, or Wii? This answers the question.

PS3!!!

Authorities say a young South Philadelphia teen was so angry his mom took away his PlayStation that he killed her with a claw hammer.

The motive was revealed as Kendall Anderson's confession to the brutal crime, committed on the day after Thanksgiving, was read in court, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported on Tuesday.

The 16-year-old allegedly told police he decided to kill his mother, Rashida Anderson, after a 90-minute argument that culminated in her taking the video-game console away.

Anderson considered his actions before killing his 37-year-old single mother, said the judge who read the teen's statement in Philadelphia Municipal Court. The teen paced for three hours mulling over what he would do before deciding to kill her, said his confession, which he gave to a police detective.

Anderson struck her 20 times with a claw hammer while she slept.

In an effort to get rid of her body, he tried to "cremate her" in the oven, according to the confession. When that failed, he smashed her head with a chair, then dragged the body out into the alley behind their house and hid it.

The remains were not found until nearly two days later, after family became suspicious and notified police. Anderson was charged with murder in December, as well as possession of an instrument of a crime and abuse of a corpse.

The teen was not known to be violent, but had been charged with stealing a laptop from his high school.

"If I could, I would not do it again," he said in his confession. "I really miss my mom. ... She was the only person who cared for me."

On second thought, that could have been a PS1. Kid must really love his PS1.

"If I could, I would not do it again," he said in his confession.

Not to make light of the matter, but that quote - as so many things in life seem to - reminds me of a Simpsons scene.

"Believe me, my god, if I could turn back the clock on my mother's stair-pushing, I would certainly...reconsider it."

In all seriousness, that's all kinds of messed up. Clearly the kid has some deep-seated mental/emotional issues, something the "Video Games are EVIL!" crowd definitely won't be keeping in mind when they get hold of this. No well-adjusted person is going to bash their mother to death with a claw hammer just because they're punished by having their video game console taken away.

To support that statement, I prefer the Xbox 360 for its online experience solely and PS3 for its all-around system. Apples and oranges.

The former team (Walker-Rose-Pedja-Anderson-Fisher) would vaporize the latter team off the face of the earth. They have gobs of rings, the latter team has one ring combined. Anyone who doesn't have a ring is worthless especially compared to those who won rings.

Real basketball fans know this, anyone with a ring is better than anyone without one automatically.

Learn about the game already, maybe you could try watching it to start.

Nice use of a Flat What, too.

Re-reading the excerpt, this jumped out at me (emphasis is mine):

The remains were not found until nearly two days later, after family became suspicious and notified police. Anderson was charged with murder in December, as well as possession of an instrument of a crime and abuse of a corpse.

The first one strikes me as a little weird, perhaps someone with greater knowledge of the law could explain how that works. Since any blunt or sharp object could potentially be used to murder someone, don't we all possess "instruments of crime" in the form of kitchen knives, hammers, screwdrivers, scissors, bats, etc? Not to mention actual weapons. Again, it just struck me as an odd charge on top of murder.

The second makes the whole thing even more disturbing, suggesting he continued to smack the corpse around for a couple of days until it was discovered. Like I said before, they can and no doubt will try to pin this on violent video games given the source of the conflict but the average gamer, the average human being, does not contemplate and carry out what this kid did. Once they delve further into this, I'm sure they'll find a lot of things that should've been red flags, stuff other than stealing a laptop from school.

Wanted to link to that, too, but linking two things with one word is poor form.

Not until you use them for something illegal.

What.

Damn, I look stupid. What I was trying to say is that I was going off topic but I don't know how "support that statement" came from me like that. Hey but no biggie. (Y)
