This article on Kotaku reminded me of a topic I've been meaning to create, especially since we've had a few threads talking about our all-time favourite games and old favourites that we'll still play, frequently to this day or just every now and then.
As the thread title asks:
Do you keep or sell your old games/consoles?I tend to be a bit of a collector when it comes to my old games and consoles, though I don't actively try to expand my old collections and I don't have shelves and shelves of games for a single console, as someone like James Rolfe does. Rather, I've kept my old consoles along with the games I wanted to keep and just stored them away as I've bought a new, latest generation console. I have sold/traded in games before but in some cases I've actually gone out and picked them up cheap off eBay or wherever down the track so that I can go back and play them if the mood strikes. Generally speaking though, if it's a game I think I'll want to play again down the road, I prefer to keep it rather than trade it in for a new game or put it up on eBay.
As far as consoles are concerned, I've still got an Intellivision, NES, SNES, N64 and PS2 and a decent amount of games for each; enough for a nostalgic afternoon every once in a while. They're all stored away except the PS2 though, which I've still used infrequently since getting my 360.
