The Edmonton Oilers started out their rebuilding process this summer drafting Taylor Hall first overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
The Oilers will be hoping that Hall will provide them a dynamic spark on offense which was one of the poorest areas of the Oilers' last season. The Oilers were ranked 27th in total goals last season, scoring just 214 all season long, an average of 2.6 goals per game, which assisted so weakley in a 27-47-8 record.
"I'm here to do my thing," said Hall, who will start out on the second line pairing up with Sam Gagner and Ales Hemsky. The Oilers are still a long way from winning their division to clinching a division spot, but at least the playoff drought which hasn't seen them in the playoffs for five seasons now could soon come to and end.
Season Prediction: Oilers improve from last season, but not enough to make a playoff run, 35 win season.
