Yeah it's a short movie to get Warner Brothers interested. It's been confirmed that this is NOT a trailer for an upcoming movie.

this is not a trailer, this is a short film...

Despite that, it's still better than the previous MK movies.

Cool. Nice touch on that short film.

"I want you to FINISH HIM!"

Man they could have used that voice from the game.

Damn. It looks good in that short film but if they're gonna go low budget on this movie, I'd rather not have this movie made.

Apparently this is just to show WB the directors "vision" for the movie... so the plot etc probably won't be the same but I love how dark it is. Sub-Zero and Reptile looked sick as well.

The amount of attention this thing is getting is ridiculous. Warner Brothers would be insane not to back it.

If that pushes through I hope the tournament fights isn't done on some kind of ring but instead they hunt each other down in the city to finish off each other it they happen to cross paths. The whole city is the ring to do the fights.
Having the fights done on some kind of ring will suck and be repetitive to watch imo. That way the fights will be more open and they can even have multiple fighters in one fight.

I guess the characters' plots won't have too much relevance to the original game though. Anyways, this short film looks good. I wonder if they'll catch any big investors.

They filmed it in 2 days on a $7,500 budget?? I'd love to see what this guy could do with some WB millions behind him.

That was epic. Mortal Kombat got Nolanized.

Reptile looked scary as shit, hell even that baby creeped me out. I'd watch anything with Michael Jai White though, after watching him kick ass in Blood & Bone, Undisputed II & Black Dynamite, he's probably my favorite martial arts actor at the moment. (Yes, more than Scott Adkins who pretty much sucked in Ninja.)

Better than nothing I guess, I'd say it'll be worth checking out at least one or two episodes when they come out.

Some of the costumes look cheap based on what I saw from the teaser trailer.
