EAGE for SSX Tricky?

just thought of it... does EAGE support for SSX Tricky (PlayStation2) .big and data files since it's EA BIG game? i am having trouble to find out how i can view and edit some tracks for that amazing game... does anyone know any tools that i could use for that, perhaps?

pardon if this was posted in a very wrong place, but i just had to ask, if it's not that much to ask for, of course...

As far as I know, no modding has been done for the PS2. At least not here for NBA Live.

you gotta have a modded PS2 to get the patches back on


but dont count on all the files to work with EAGE or other Live editors.



but they do work a little bit, I was able to extract this with help from pdub

yes, i am aware of that i need a modded ps2, which is what i've got.

i've extracted the dvd itself to my pc with Apache extracter and then used EAGE to extract the files inside the SSX Tricky files on my pc... so yeah, that's about as far as I've come so far...

any idea if it's possible to edit any of the tracks (which are also .BIG files) or something like that..? characters, boards or something like that, perhaps? or doesn't EAGE "allow" that? i guess that you need an animation application for that then, huh? just edit the elements, not how they behave and work. just some small graphical changes...

but yeah, i guess it's not possible to edit tracks nor view the files inside the .iso for this game... crap. =/ one of my favorite games, really.

any ideas on what applications would might work for this game that i could try out then, perhaps..?

all we did was extract, it was never our plan to put anything back in

even if you open the container files, you probably wont be able to edit the texture or shape files since we cant even edit the ps2 files for NBA Live


so basically, go into our tools section on the main site, download some stuff, and if you get something to ope, great. But I really doubt anything actually will.

well, i was only planning to VIEW the tracks of the game on my pc... not edit it or somewhat. just to see how that would work on my pc etc.

it seems hard to find an editor for Tricky, realy. although it's an EA Big game, it's still tough to find any editor/viewing related material/applications for this game...

i managed to extract some files out of the ALASKA.BIG, but then i got a couple of files which probably contains even more minor files, so i am unsure which application i should use to open these files... any ideas, perhaps?

i am not going/planning to EDIT stuff and import it back to my PS2, i just want to view and see the different graphics in the game on MY pc (stages, tracks, character models etc.) .. perhaps i should use an animator program/application for that..? if so, which application would that be..? that's why i included a DATA.rar file that includes some of the files i could find within the game.

pardon for bothering you all with this, but i am VERY eager and curious to learn how it is done...

If I remember correctly when helping jaosming, the audio files were each a bunch of 1 second files, adn can be converted to wav format with the SX.exe EA audio conversion program. I forget where to find it, but if you search the net, you should find it no problem. Putting those hundreds of files back together into one file is up to you.
