Computer Virus Problem

Postby tee-pane on Tue Oct 21, 2008 11:15 am

I've been getting a trojan virus in my temp folder it just keeps coming up everytime i restart, or turn on my computer. My Avira anti-virus detects it every time my computer is turned on. I could delete it, but once it is deleted another file gets created on its own. When i try to get into temp folder and delete it manually, it says it is used my another program. Anyone know what the problem is? This trojan virus wrecks my Nba Live, internet explorer or any other programs that the user uses alot. hsperfdataThis is the folder that the virus gets stored in and generates on its own. Please help! :x

boot it in safe mode and delete the temp file, or write a script that deletes it and ignores any errors

Then my second question is, is it up to date and have you tried removing it with Avira or have you just tried to remove it manually? You might also want to try hitting it with anti-spyware.

Avira runs pretty well on my system. But some trojans do get in (the antivirus conspiracy mind you). Try looking for the n00b Killer program. I forgot where I got mine.

I went to safe mode and deleted the files, but when i started the computer normally the trojan files generated on its own!
Added: Does anyone know that if there is a program that could locate the source of a trojan virus?

Yes, I can tell you what the source of your virus is, but first you have to pay. PayPal works perfectly. PM me if interested.

SpyBot and MalwareByte are two good softwares to get rid of shit like that. Since you're saying it keeps coming back over and over, your registry is obviously infected, and your antivirus will probably not do squat about it, so you need to clean up your registry with other programs.

Manually deleting the files obviously doesn't seem to be the solution so I'd say you should forget about that. If your anti-virus isn't removing the infection, try another one or as el badman said hit it with a program like SpyBot (Ad-Aware might even do the trick if you're after a free one).
