Yeah the player models do look impressive but it's gonna be hard to make a solely one-on-one game decent. Might be fun for a week but i don't see it having much longevity. Very impressive graphically so far. :shock:

I heard you play other nba players for their cars, houses etc sounds a bit gimmicky to me.

I just "discovered" yesterday that this is coming out. It looks (and as a concept - sounds) cool, but I have my doubts about the "live the life of an NBA star" part... Seems to me a bit like an extra gimmick that's supposed to make people buy this game instead of the various other NBA games out there. So you play the other "baller" for his house etc. - but then what? Do you get to drive his cars around a virtual city? I doubt it...

You know what would be really cool? A game that is a cross between "Vice City", "NBA Street" and "The Sims"! You'd start the game by choosing one of the NBA players as well as his basic attire (shoes, jerseys, baggy jeans, shirts, jewelry etc.). Then you'd have total freedom to roam around authentic cities like NYC and Philly, maybe completing some missions. Around the cities there would be authentic street ball courts, where you could go just as a spectator or to participate in a game. This would be the NBA Street part... By winning games (among other things, like signing hip hop recording contracts

) you'd get money, which you could then spend on buying bigger and bigger houses, whips, dubs and clothes etc. The houses would naturally be customizable in design.

the graphics looks rili realistic..but i don't trust the gameplay... :roll:

majorly cuz of Live 2003 but also the height of the players jump...Reggie Miller jumps 7 ft into the air and launches the three...do u think itz realistic? Joe Smith jumps about 6-7 ft to dunk the ball...i mean itz not like they're all J-Rich and VCs...the gameplay just doesn't make sense...and Shaq's head is wwwwaaaaayyy over the top of the backboard..u know that is not real..

Nice gameplay idea. I'd like to add a little to it though....there should be a "be a nba star mode". You go through the cities defeating nba players and no name guys..and playin pick up games and tournaments hoping that a scouter is in one of the crowds. After you've completed a certain amount of goals...you get to be drafted. The other modes could be done like nba street also...cause quite frankly...that game is next to perfect.

That would be cool. The game would be called...NBA Playa. Alternative title - NBA Bling-Bling. :lol:

About this NBA Ballers game, though... by looking at the various screenshots and movies, I think I may have an idea what the "play like a super star" mode is like. I think the "houses" are basically just new courts which you can play on. Well, I hope it's more than that, because that'd be quite boring.

This game looks wicked, not for simulation ofcourse, just time pass.

I don't think it's coming out on PC, the only availabe options on the site are PS2 & XBox.

If I can save enough, I might just buy this game.

The Create A Baller looks awesome, the way you can customise the player looks, wowie.
