PC Gaming

I just wanna ask why developers don't make games with native resolutions just like the consoles. I think with this idea it would help pc gamers alot especially to those who don't have a very good system like me.

Native resolution being the highest possible resolution supported by your monitor, I don't see how that would help to have games stuck with one in particular. PC's advantage over consoles is precisely the fact that you can change the resolution depending on your system, it's more flexible that way.

i know that. but in console you will notice that they have resolutions starting at 480p. And I believe that it will have its benefits like less jaggies and sharper images even at 640x480 resolutions. IMO Images would have jaggies if it's displayed lower than its native resoslution (ie an image with resolution of 1440X900 is displayed in a 800X600 resolution).

Jaggies will certainly be more present at lower resolutions, that's correct. But I still don't understand why having games with a unique resolution would help. If your system can't handle the native resolution of your monitor for less jaggies, unfortunately there's not that many ways to fix that on PC, only upgrading will help.

It's because the game is not on its native resolution. That's why the higher resolution the lesser the jaggies. It's like as resolution goes higher it approaches the native resolution of the game or image which results in less jaggies.

I do understand that, but I'm just saying that to reach your native resolution or close to that, there's no miracle fix, it doesn't work like on consoles and if your system can't handle it, there's only one solution...

It's probably one of the cheapest cards that you can now find that allows 5.1 sound (and it's an external USB, so no fuss installing it). I've had some issues with the drivers under Vista, but it's been resolved and since I'm not as demanding about sound as I am about graphics, I'd rate it as a 4 out of 5. It gets the job done.

A couple of years ago, it was about 60 bucks. Pretty sure you can find it for 30 dollars by now.
