go back intime

Postby atheist who found answer. on Wed Jul 09, 2008 9:48 am

if you could go back in time to 2002, what would you do?

i would find the creators of facebook and youtube, invest in those two companies. then i would invest money in apple; thus, setting myself up to be a multi millionaire...

i would also try to get the point across that there are no wmds in iraq, as well as trying to tell asian countries that they need to prepare themselves for the tsunami, as well as the chinese with the earthquake, and new orleans wiht the levees...

and i would have told my grandma i loved her before she passed on...rest in peace...

u guys?

If I could go back to 2002, I'd inflitrate EA Sports and fight them. Each and every single one of them.

I think Facebook is a private company run by a single college student named Mark Zuckerberg, so investing wouldn't have been possible, unless if you were a bank. Same with YouTube, I believe was created by two guys.

I would've invested in Apple and a few years before that, Google.

Other than that, I don't think I would've changed a thing.

I think of going back in time a lot. More than most people do. Just one question, though. Why 2002?

I'd go back to 1996 and relive my childhood. I was forced to move here in '02 because of the economic crisis in Argentina and have hated that ever since. But there's no way from preventing an economic crisis so I'd be happy to just relive my childhood. Yeah, I know, I'm lame...

As far as inventing in companies goes, Apple would be my first choice as well as Google, which still wasn't as big in 2002 as it is now. Other than that, pretty much all you could do in the past and get a buck off it is go all "Back to the Future", bring a sports results book and bet on the winner.

I don't think you need to be "a big fan of Saddam" to want this useless conflict to have never started in the first place. Just common sense.

I'd go back and win the lottery. Maybe I'd even win it twice.

I don't think I'd waste the money though. I'd want to live life normally, just with some money on the side. In case something were to come up or I felt like investing something.

On a side note, having enough money to start a basketball franchise from the ground up would be pretty sick. That's always been a dream of mine.

villagers toting away yellowcake storage barrels for use as drinking water cisterns.

exposure carries well-documented health concerns associated with heavy metals such as damage to internal organs, experts say.

Nice.

How would you find the creators of Facebook and Youtube and invest in the companies? Do you have thousands of dollars stashed under your mattress waiting for you back in 2002?

If you start telling people that a huge tsunami, an earthquake, and a devastating hurricane is coming you'll probably be mocked and potentially put in an insane asylum after you get too frustrated with people not listening to you and start shouting it at everyone you see on the streets.

Plus... imagine having to deal with shitty NBA-Live versions, knowing everything that will already happen, shitty computers, and slow internet, among many other things. Life would lack all excitement. You'd probably sink into a suicidal depression as you off yourself in a padded room in a mental ward shouting "Free Saddam! Free Saddam! The Lakers will sweep the Nets! Arrrrrggggghhhh!"

^ Good points. Realistic thinking. Would he be released from the mental asylum if his predictions came true and be hailed as the new Nostradamus?

The people will execute him in August 2008 after they think he's a fraud or has lost his powers because he only knows up to July 2008.
