Question for NCCA College Hoops 2k8

I got this game form Gamestop. So when I first played iteverything was fine. Yesterday I said well I wana play it. So I did. But it says in the book in the case that the square button was to shoot. But yesterday it was a pass and I only could use the right analog stick. Does anyone know how to change it???
