If it's that new I'd assume it's still under warranty, get in touch with the manufacturer and ask them to sort it out for you.

Anyway, I restrained from making any of the obvious jokes... since I don't get to enjoy myself, neither do any of you

if it doesnt boot i dont think it would be your hard drive, best to take it to a pro for them to have a look at. what was the last thing you did before it didnt start?

Why would you trust the NLSC for advice about computer hardware? :P

Anyway, are you sure the battery has charge? Tried starting it when it's plugged in to the wall, I imagine. I've got a crappy old laptop that I seldom use which doesn't charge the battery when it's plugged in, so I had to get a power cord that plugs directly into the battery to charge it, then put it into the laptop when done.

Might be the harddrive, something similar happened to me when i fried mine the other summer.

Have you tried throwing it off the top of a large building? If not, try that, and if it is a Dell be sure to run down after it and dance on top of the broken parts. That should teach it, I mean fix it.

- Your RAM might be screwed up. If it conflicts with something or if it is damaged, your PC is not even gonna start.
- Your motherboard or your power supply might be fried: same as above.

If it was the hard drive, I believe he would at least see the BIOS being loaded, before it would fail loading the OS.

It doesn't really make a difference. I remember when I bought some additonal RAM for my laptop years ago, it wouldn't boot at all, nada. Just because I bought RAM that had different latency settings from the existing stick.
Here, I'm guessing sarella would have mentioned if he had recently added some RAM or anything like that, so except if his RAM gave up all of a sudden, I would go for the battery or the mainboard being fucked.

Don't listen to any of these people.

You cannot pinpoint what's wrong with a computer just because it doesn't start. You don't know what you need, so don't go out buying RAM all of the sudden.

Try to fuck with it a bit more, and if you can't fix it... then pay the good ol' computer repairman the 50$ he deserves, and stop downloading porn.

Try to fuck with it a bit more,

Indeed, that's way more productive...

And he should not believe the others' posts but believe yours because?

I think that is the point of the creation of his thread.
He can't pinpoint what's wrong so he posts in here to find out what others have to say so he can do it himself so he can pinpoint what's wrong and "fuck with it a bit more" so to speak.
