NBA 2k8 Preview Thread

Well, nba 2k8 will not be at E3 this year

Also a moderator on 2k forums confirmed this.

Blue Lighting - Moderator on 2k forums wrote:The official word is that we do not plan to show it at E3. You will start seeing new media and getting new info soon, and when you get that opportunity you will understand why we don't have to show it right now.

Yeah - it's that good.

BL

Since 2k8 hasn't said anything about their game at all, and they aren't even showing it at E3, do you think it's going to decline or not be much different than 2k7 because it seems all their concern right now is in all pro football 2k8.

I just wonder how this will affect 2k fans, and will live 08 turn out better.

Some respectable poster in the 08 forum said it was because they're developing a new engine for 2k8 and thus do not have a ready enough product to demonstrate.

This game is confusing, i dunno when they expect to release it cos if they are gonna release at the same time as Live then you would hope some info would be out by now, i mean we dont even know whos on the cover yet. They might literally release it in 08 if they do im not waiting that long when i could be playing a pretty good looking Nba Live.

It does seem strange that they haven't released any info about the game yet. And if they are indeed developing a new engine, it seems strange that they aren't finished with it yet. That would probably be one of the very first things to do and focus on. It's not like they have a lot of time left...

CMJ: Chris Paul is on the cover.

Well, consider it a trickle down rumor. The developers do post on some other internet forums, and the rumor started on another forum by people who regularly post on those.

Sniff around OS, might be something on there if anywhere...at least that's what I assume.

On OS we haven't received much info at all, also they are concerned about no 2k8 on E3, and usually sometimes producers or 2k staffs come by OS at times and give us somes sweets but they are saving them for now. And after reading what the Mod on 2k forum said regarding no info on E3, I believe we probably will get a new Graphic Engine, the gameplay is already great, with a few minor tweaks and fixes it will improve even more. And who knows what 2k has up its sleeves, they usually bring something good to the table and I think we are in for one hell of a surprise.

Although I do feel bad for the PC basketball fans since they will not be able to experience 2k basketball on a PC. :?

I have faith in 2k sports, after playing just one installment, I think it's going to be great regardless the E3 no-show.

Well you're acting like an idiot, and telling someone to shut their mouth for no good reason is not the right thing to do.

So here is my advice, take a chill pill or get out of the forum

You would "stand up" to someone if you felt they were infringing on your basic human rights. This is an internet forum; you don't have any rights, nor is it technically feasible to overthrow the "regime".

In addition, you use absolutely no capitalization or punctuation under any circumstances, which makes your posts entirely unreadable. There is much less chance of someone subtly or not-so-subtly flaming you if your posts follow basic legibility guidelines.

And Donatello isn't a moderator (used to be).
