THE METROID PRIME THREE THREAD

I'm not THAT far into this game as I haven't had time to sit down and blow through a huge chunk of it. So I've been playing it in hour stints.

And wow, just wow. This game is keeping me on the edge of my seat waiting for more. Metroid Prime is still one of the greatest games ever produced, but this one more than makes up for the disappointing Echoes.

The controls are remarkable, it was hard to switch immediately back to keyboard/mouse tonight when I played DoD with some of the fellas on here. I had to jack up the mouse sensitivity to the max as the mouse felt sluggish and inaccurate.

The battle against Ridley falling down the shaft was fantastic, epic. And it comes near the start of the game, it only gets better. The Aurora's, the multiple planets, the bounty hunters. A fleshed out Space Pirate threat. Dark Samus and the Phazon getting involved.

The graphics are top notch, and beautiful. Sure, the technology may not stand up to the latest X360/PS3/PC titles, but just like the original, the art design more than makes up for it. The sound is just as great as before, and with voice overs!

A landmark title, and the best Wii game to date: Five out of Five This is how Wii games are supposed to be made.

If you have a Wii and have not acquired METROID PRIME THREE, you are utter fail.

This is seriously the greatest thing in a long time. God of War II was pretty fucking epic and awesome, it's hard to pick between which one is the best game of the year. And really, which one is the best console game of the last five years. It's between these two and Wind Waker and the original Metroid Prime.

I refuse to listen about Halo, Metroid Prime is the greatest first person trilogy of it's era. The design of the series is basically unmatched by any other, and Corruption takes the design to new heights. (It might even be THE best series of it's era.)

Quite amazing that both GOWII and MP3:C delivered after much anticipation. Bought a Wii for this one, and will have to buy a PS3 just for God of War III. Now the anticipation builds for the next Retro game.

Also, I love the copying of Firefly's camera tricks.
