It comes out August 24 in the US - I love Mr. Bean so I'll probably check it out. I can't believe the last movie was 10 years ago!

I have to admit I was a little disappointed by the first Bean movie. The way he created a fake Whistler's Mother was clever and there was some good material in there but in some ways it was just too "Hollywood" which dilluted the humour somewhat. I guess when you're making a movie you need a bigger, deeper story but the appeal of the Mr Bean series was that he'd being doing these mundane or normal activies things like going to the dentist or Christmas shopping or going on vacation and yet going about it in the strangest ways or getting into himself into a wacky situation.

Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie and it stands to reason that they'd try to make it accessible to a wider audience and aim for bigger and better upon jumping to the big screen, but for me it just didn't live up to the series. Perhaps it was the fact they recycled some of the bits from the series as well, such as Bean falling asleep and then off his chair without waking up.

I've seen it and it is actually pretty good, imo. He wins a raffle, which is a vacation and a camcorder. On his way to his vacation, he ends up seperating a boy from his father and then tries to help reunite them. It's a fun movie, and it comes together cleverly at the end. I think it's better then the first Bean movie.

Uh, what is this? A countdown to when it shows in USA? Honestly, why do you even do this stuff? You (supposedly) live in Manila, so when it shows in the US doesn't even affect you.

Well apparently judging from how old the thread is intitially and how you had to bump this thread back to life, no one really gave a shit.
