Which Basketball Game?

I am looking to buy a basketball game for the current generation Xbox (not the 360). I just wanted to know your opinions on these games and how they compare with each other.

I know they are all 2K games, but I already have Live on the computer, and I really enjoyed the next-gen 2K basketball games.

I want updated rosters/games like 2K7, but are they worth not having a 24/7 mode in 2K6?

If I buy a College Hoops game, I won't have to worry about the rosters and such, just how well the gameplay is compared to the other.

IMO, i think you should get NBA 2K7. I have it on the PS2 and it's a great game to play.

Yeah get 2k7, i had it on xbox and i loved it and i have it on the 360 and i love even more

Joking, I got NBA 2K7 and I must say it is good and I guess it is worth it without the 24/7 even though that is a great mode.

NBA 2K7 has some shift-as-hell glitches and the same shooting problems as the next-gen consoles. But either way, it's a pretty good game. I wish they sold College Hoops games here in Oz though.

College Hoops is basically the same game as NBA 2K7. You can get them both NEW for the price of one EA Sports game, let alone used. Depends on what you like more, NBA or NCAA. Do you want to build up the Atlanta Hawks or the superior Northern Colorado Bears? Stuff like that. Gameplay/graphics, they're essentially the same, NBA has slightly better graphics and the players aren't as sloppy.

They will make College Hoops/NBA 2K8 for the current gen (Xbox360, PS3), it is unlikely they will appear on last gen outside of PS2. Madden 08 and another EA game are the only games scheduled to be released on the Xbox in 2007.

NHL 2K8 IS scheduled for PS2, so I assume at least NBA 2K8 will be appearing. Little more than a roster update, a few fixes/tweaks, probably however.

Kind of off-topic, but has anybody played NBA 07 for PS3? it's the Sony game. I heard it was a fung game, although it might not be the most realistic.

I don't believe I had any problems with the shooting for 2K7 at my friend's house on the PS3, I had a good experience with it.

I may look at College Hoops 2K7 later if the price goes down some more.

lol, Since I'm so cheap, I got the game with the free shipping, but may wait 7-9 days At least I don't have to pay for shipping, but I hope it comes lol.

I've played NBA 07 on the PS3 (just the demo). I like it, but it's definitely not very realistic. I also don't like how you need to use the bar to shoot (not sure if you can turn it off in the full version though). I like how the jerseys move and everything, but it is too "flowy" for me. I wish they had some other modes available in the demo, which is pretty much the strength of the series (story).
