But anyway, I am looking forward to this. If you get Morrison though, you might lose a follower. I hate that guy.

The Wolves Claw

Timberwolves Sign New GM...

Reporter: I'm here with newly signed GM Casey Lee.

Casey Lee: Hello T'Wolves Fans.

Reporter: Do you have any huge plans for the Timberwolves this season?

Casey Lee: Yes, make the playoffs. There's one

Reporter: What about KG, will you trade him away after his demands on wanting to be traded.

Casey Lee: I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Reporter: What's it like being apart of an NBA team? For the first time.

Casey Lee: Well, I'm not quite part of the team, more of the organization, but it feels great, I'm very excited to be here.

Reporter: So the word is that you cleaned house on the coaching staff?

Casey Lee: Yes, I have already found a Head Coach and I'm pretty sure on at least one asst. coach.

Reporter: Any Names?

Casey Lee: You will find out as soon as the week ends.

I have big plans for this one, thanks for the reply Lamrock

yea, I am...I have to load pictues onto computer and finish taking them...College Dyansty will hav pics up tomorrow and start Tuesday, finally, lol... So Question to all...should I stick with Kg or Trade him...also I have an idea of having tryouts with low key (bad rated) Free Agents try out for the 10, 11, 12 spots on the roster. Along with three timberwolves who wil lcompete for those final three spots...what do you think?

Hmm... I would say keep him, but the Wolves are only deep at two positions. (SG and PF). Trade him and Davis or James for a better C and SF (Wilcox and Lewis, Dunleavy and J. O'Neal, Howard and Dampier, James and Ilgauskas (It's a game what can you do), Artest and Miller, etc.).

Also, draft picks are terrible in 2K7. You may want to use them as trade bait.

I was thinking about trying a 3 way trade actually trading away KG to someone who can give me young talent and then also getting the Bobcats or Hawks or soemone of the sort's draft pick, we'll see...I'm gonna have like a kinda sotry for off-season, i think you will all enjoy

I would keep him unless you can get 2 decent young players in return plus a good vet. Maybe something like Francis, Lee and Frye for KG and James. Perhaps even Hill, Darko, Ariza and 1st. Something along those lines. I imagine only big budget and big city teams would deal for him, so look at Lakers, Chicago, Detroit, NY, Dallas, Houston etc.

If you can get some young players with decent ratings plus good potential, as well as a vet who can be consistent, then you may be able to make the lower playoff seeds and have a bright future.

GM Casey Lee walks into the press conference with all the reporters ready to ask questions right away. He sits down and behind him comes a man unkown. No one recognizes him except a few reporters that know of Lassen High School in California.

"Trevor Foreman right? Is he the new coach?"

GM Lee: Yes he is

"What has he done?"

GM Lee: Only won four state championships, in High School Basketball.

"This is a few big steps up."

Laughs from the reporters come.

Coach Foreman: I will assure you I am ready for this position and I will do my best to help the T'Wolves to the playoffs.

"Timberwolves to the playoffs sounds familiar, but how about winning a playoff series."

More laughs from the reporters.

"How do you even now this coach Casey?"

GM Lee: A friend of mine from High School, but that has no reason why I brought him to this team, he is a great coach and leader he can make something out of nothing.

"So giving the friend a break."

Reporters wait for frustraion to come off the face of the new GM, but only a blank stare, with a slight smerk show.

"Are you saying you have nothing here in Minnesota?"

GM Lee: No, we have a lot of potential, Coach Foreman is one though, who can use it and apply it.

"Coach, what are your thoughts now being in charge of an NBA team?"

Coach Foreman: I am very excited to be apart of this orginazation. I think we can excel and win a few playoff series, this is a great team with lots of talent.

GM Lee: That's all the questions for now.

Kevin Garnett walks into my office not looking to happy. I knew this would be an interesting conversation, a decision would be made that would change the franchise forever. Was Kevin going to stay or leave us in the dust. I wanted him, but not if he wanted to leave. I signal for him to sit in front of my desk and he does. I break the silence...

GM Lee: Hello Kevin.

Garnett: Sir.

GM Lee: I think we need to talk. I have questions and Ithink you have stuff to say also. First I want to state that you are the heart of this team and you are very valuable to me and the organization. I would love for you to styay, but I understand your want. So lets start off by figuring out our situation.

Garnett: I love this organization, but I want to win. Not just make the playoffs but win a series, then keep advancing. I mean I'm not mister yougn gun anymore, I'm in my thirties, I want a championship.

GM Lee: You see I am trying as hard as I can to build a team around you that can suceed and do that. I know our bench is kind of week, but I'm working on that as we speak. I have cleaned house on coaching and I'm trying to provide you players with the best staff possible. You understand?

Garnett: Yea, but is hiring a rookie coach who has only high school credibility the right move. I understand he is your friend, but now isnt the right time.

GM Lee: No, it's the perfect time, Coach Foreman can perform, I didn't hire him just cause he is a friend of mine, sure that helped, but he is very capable, he can handle the job, trust me. He is very knowledgeble of the game.

Garnett: And what of the assistants.

GM Lee: Well, I have contacted some people and they are very credible, trust me Garnett, you will have a great coaching staff.

Garnett: Okay, well you see I have bonded with my teamates and I can't bail on them right before the season, but I will only stay after this season if we win two playoff series. And if we are totally out of contention before the trade deadline and a contender is interested in me, I will demand a trade or I'll holdout. Only conditions.

GM Lee: Consider it done.

Garnett gets up, shakes my hand, and leaves. I then pick up the phone and call up Coach Foreman.

GM Lee: We got him.

Coach Foreman's first move of the off-season was to conduct a team 5 on 5 series. It would be a best of 7 series. Now since the roster consisted of twelve players, he would inactivate two players for the series. These two players would be the coaches, so how about two players that are already on the team because they are the team captians. Kevin Garnett and Mike James would be the coaches and would select the teams. The picking took place with James winning first pick and Garnett getting the next two picks and then alternating picks after that. The teams ended up like this:

Team James
PG: Marco Jaric
SG: Rashad McCants
SF: Ricky Davis
PF: Mark Madsen
C: Mark Blount

Team Garnett
PG: Troy Hudson
SG: Randy Foye
SF: Trenton Hassell
PF: Justin Reed
C: Eddie Griffin

*Game one will be up soon

What free agents were you thinking about? I would definitely consider a vet big like Antonio Davis, and maybe bring back Spree to keep KG happy as he wasn't really impressed when him and Sam were shipped out. Also, somebody like Lynch would provide another veteran presence and another solid defender to go with KG, James and Hassell.

Nice idea with the series, and I like the writing too. Reminds me a bit of Sit's A Legend is Born. Nice work. Trade James though, he sucks! His ridiculously inflated rating makes him great trade bait.

New Free Agent Signing...

Grayson "The Professor" Boucher to join team after 7 game series...

Image

Grayson Boucher, better known as "The Professor" from the AND 1 Mixtape tour was signed today for a one year deal. GM Casey Lee said that this is a trial year, he does a good job, then he'll get an extension for sure. Boucher said of the signing, "I am very excited about the signing, I finally made it to the big show, AND 1 was great fo rme, but now its time to move on to the biggest show possible, the NBA, its for real. I can't believe I made it finally an dI thank Mr. Lee for the oppurtunity. Coach Foreman said that Boucher would be in the rotation for sure and he knows that Boucher is flashy, but he'll have to tone down on that if he wants to make it on his team. He did say he loves the great passing ability and ball handling skills of Boucher. Boucher was a great streetballer and maybe on his way to being a legend before Timberwolves GM Casey Lee called him up and offered him a contract to play in the NBA. "An offer I couldn't resist," said Boucher of getting signed to the NBA. Both Coach and GM alike are very excited to see Boucher play for them and are hoping this turns out for the best.
