EXTREME!!!

Postby [Q] on Tue Mar 06, 2007 6:44 pm

so I'm going skydiving for the first time tomorrow. for $175, I think it's a pretty good deal yeah?

for some reason, my mind always comes up with worse-case scenarios without hesitation. i mean, sometimes I pull up at a stop light and I can imagine the guy in the next car pulling out a gun and shooting me in the head. yes, it's weird i know. i'm not afraid of jumping but for some reason i can imagine my parachute not opening or me dying of heart failure or something. hmm maybe I've always had a fear of death.

any extreme adrenaline junkies out there?

It's not abnormal to imagine a worst case scenario, Qballer. ;)

Though, the most likely scenario is that you have a horrible landing and die on impact tomorrow. And just quietly, i hope you do die.

I'm sure all will go well. I did it about a year ago with my brother and it was a lot of fun! But, you could consider me to be an extreme junkie...

man it was pretty cool. the first couple seconds out of the plane your body takes time to readjust... then i realized i was freefalling and I started to enjoy it. when the chute opened, I was relieved but somewhat disappointed the freefall wasn't longer. problem was I didn't think about coming down after the chute opened. The person I was with (It was tandem with an experienced skydiver) starts to position us over the landing spot but he started to these crazy 180 degree turns and I started to feel a little nauseated. My mom has no tolerance to nausea at all and I inherited a little bit of that. it's been almost 6 or 7 hrs since the jump and i'm almost back to normal.

I would definitely suggest everybody try it at least once. all of my friends paid an extra $90 to make a video of your jump. I decided against it.

Crazy video man, that's a close call at it's best. But I don't know how people think the video is fake? :eh: It looks legit to me.. but then again with video technology these days, anything's possible.

Unless you're gonna do it again, the $90 would've been worth it imo. I'm afraid of heights, but I'll try it someday before I become old.

yeah i'm almost 100% sure i'll do it again, so that's part of the reason why I didn't pay up or the video

The video is worth it, but $90?? I paid $30 for mine, and it was very cool, it captured the shot where I jumped out of the plane. That was the first and last time I'm skydiving. I think I helped my fear of heights a bit, but the reason I'm not going to do it again was because I saw a news segment of people who jumped off the plane to their death because the parachute didn't open. The scary thing was, it looked very similar to my video.
if you were killed tomorrow, i WOULDNT GO 2 UR FUNERAL CUZ ID B N JAIL 4 KILLIN THE MOTHA FUCKER THAT KILLED U!

Thats interesting. I have a pretty bad fear of heights but I do think I could skydive. It just seems different. Standing near the edge of a high rise building scares the shit outta me but the thought of jumping out of a plane doesn't. I don't know why :|
