iTunes question

Postby Bmur on Thu Feb 01, 2007 12:10 pm

I think i'll just get the songs back the same way I got them, it will probably be easier than recovering them. Thanks for the help though. Some one can close this thread if they want.

The black exclamation mark means the songs are no longer where iTunes thinks they are. You could look through your drive to see if the songs are actually still there, because iTunes may have screwed up the location. If you find them, go into iTunes, play the song, and then when it asks you if you want to locate it, click 'Yes' and go find it on the harddrive.

Depending on what your iPod settings are, connecting to iTunes may delete all the songs, or it may do nothing. Do you know whether or not your iPod is set to syncronize with iTunes?

Then unless you can find the songs in iTunes, connecting will erase your iPod ... I think. Anyone else want to clarify this? I've never had this problem cause I manually manage my iPod (no syncronizing for me).
