Xbox Live/Router question

Postby Indy on Thu Nov 23, 2006 2:18 am

OK, so I just got Xbox live for my 360, but my modom only has one ethernet connection. I bought a 4 ethernet port router, but I have absolutley no idea how to get it working. I went on a help website and it said something about putting in a CD, but I got no such CD. I do not have wireless connection, just the 2 ethernet cords, modom, computer and router.

Come on, I know there are some computer people here who can explain how to do this.

The router replaces the modem. Pretty sure that's what it's supposed to do. Take the cable out (the one that connects to the modem and actually provides the internet connection) and connect it to the modem, then connect one Ethernet to the modem > PC, and then connect another Ethernet > Xbox 360.

You know why that is Indy? Cos you're a straight up tool. :D That's why.

Anyway, i use a router instead of a regular modem, when you get your new one bump up this thread and i might be able to help. (Though i dont know much about routers really)
