Fast Food

Alright guys, i maybe young and inexperienced or something...but being a poor college student, i eat alot of fast food, its cheap, its filling, and i can get it handed to me in the 30 seconds i have between when i woke up and when i'm supposed to be in class

Every couple of months each fast food chain comes out with some new sandwich "for a limited time only"...and then it goes away...and then it comes back...and then it goes away again...but out of curioisty, what are the best and worst "limited time" fast foods you've had?

Best: I got an italian chicken sandwich at burger king (mozarella, marinara, and fried chicken on their "bread") which was actually not that bad tasting
Worst:For the first time ever today i tried a mcrib....those things are fucking disgusting and i will never understand the obsession....

Yes i realize fast food is bad for me, yes i realize it should probly be made illegal for its complete lack of nutritional value and it almsot killing Morgan Spurlock (or would that be a reason to pay them? anyway...)...but hey, what can ya do?

man, i cringe at fast food, mcdonalds especially. seriously, it kills me to see my dad eating a double quarter pounder just because i know all the crap thats in it. i used to eat fast food everyday after school; and at my "peak", i was at 195 pounds. super size me was no joke, it just drains you .. no energy for anything. i've given up for a while though and i weigh in at around 155.

if you consider subway fast food, the best sandwich i had was this rib sub. absolutely amazing. the worst one? .. i don't think i've had one.. but fuck those double quarter pounders!

Subway counts except for the fact their whole schtick is "we're healthy eat here" so it always makes me wonder....and they really arent that bad if you get the right things so at least their semihonest...just wish the part about jared having a dietician and personal trainer wasnt in small print on the commercials...i mean anybody can watch the pounds peel away with aides....(ok bad south park reference)

Occasionally I'll have McDonald's but what killed me was when I was in New York City, for some reason Canada doesn't have this, but the McChicken burger had the nutritional label content on its wrapper and I was just horrified at what I just ate. I haven't touched McDonald's in seven months and counting.

On topic, when I was younger, the Big Xtra was my favorite limited time only. Eventually, it was so popular they decided to keep it.

preach. that's what i ate to make me fat. supersize that shit, with some fries on the side, and some mchicken sauce and i was good to go.

and what were the details of that? just curious, because I rarely go to McD's and that's usually what I get if I go.

Well you should only go to fast food like 2-3 times a whole week. Maybe buy some food that doesnt require cooking, just in the microwave for like 5 min and ready. Go to Subway or Quiznos which is actualyl somewhat healthy. I presonally prefer home made food>>fast food.

Last year I bet my roomate I could eat more Double Cheeseburgers than him, so we went to McDonalds and each ordered 5 of them... I ended up eating all 5 within 10 or 15 minutes, and he only finished 3 :) However, I felt like a complete fat ass afterward. I'd say over the past few years, I've eaten fast food on average about 2-3 times a week, which is ridiculous. As soon as I hit college, I gained 40 pounds freshman year. I've since given up on fast food, and, without even working out the past year, I'm dropping pounds reallllllllly quickly. That stuff is absolutely terrible for you!

Anyway, as for the topic - my favorite was always the Junior Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy's.

I just remember that the McChicken (the burger itself is very different from the Canadian McChicken) looked completely harmless and more healthy than the other burgers they had there. I look at the wrapper afterwards and I was shocked at the fat content, especially the amount of trans fat it had on it. I think it was over 5 grams of trans fat, which was something I don't often see.

Man, I always get a craving for fast food if I'm out and hungry only cause it's just there... that's why I've resorted to even packing my own lunch even when im just hanging out with mates... even though ppl stare at me and think im crazy, I will just say its way healthier... plus, i end up spending less on food (i may still buy some) and i feel a lot better afterwards too.

Usually when I finish eating, I'm always thinking, 'why the fuck did i just eat that shit...'

Reminds me of the time me and my mate chowed down on a whole chicken and large chips from this portugese chicken fast food joint.

But yeh, the only fast food I have now are Subway and KFC... opposite ends of the spectrum IMO cause Subway seems much more healthier and 'fresh' while KFC is all full of fat and shit like that...

I guess when you're hungry, it's so conveient to just walk up to a maccas and order a meal and it's pretty cheap too... when ur eating, it's not as bad but afterwards, when you think about it: it sure is bad man...

I don't often eat fastfood (I usually eat at McDonald's twice a month...I eat at Burger King's when I have the chance to: there's only four in Milan and almost all of them are located near the Cathedral, which isn't exactly close to where I live) but my favorite limited-time fastfood are:

From McDonald's:
-the McChicken Premiere, (basically the same as the McChicken but with different sauces and bread).
-the McMenu Texas (classic burger with bacon, lettuce, cheddar and some spicy thing).

From Burger King:
-the Double Bacon XXL Cheeseburger (though I almost choked when I ate that...it was HUGE).
-the Chicken Whopper by Burger King (it wasn't a limited-time burger for long, they decided to keep it).

I eat fast foods here and there but not often though.
I try to avoid it and since am a teen, I dont want to have a pizza face. Haha.
But what I usually get if nothing to eat at home or something is either ...

- Chicken Nuggets @ McDonalds.
- Crispy Chicken Deluxe Meal w/ no tomato, add bacon.

I usually get Maccas once a week with a mate... but then I usually eat it once or twice other than that, which is pretty bad :? But then again we usually play 1-on-1 for 2-3hours afterwards so its not going straight to my thighs :P

But I figure, eat bad shit every now and then cos it tastes dam good. Food is definately one of the greatest luxuries in life, and you cant deprive yourself of all the great tastes out there simply because you are afraid to gain weight. All you have to do is eat in moderation and excersise, and through that you wont get fat - but you can live a fulfilling life (Y)

Fast food? well considering I eat at college dining halls, its pretty frequent... though for stuff like McDonalds, I had a job there for like 3 or 4 month, and after working back in the grill, I stay away from crap like that.

And yeh, my mate woirks at Pizza Capers... 18 dollar pizzas... they claim they are gourmet... is that real pizza?
