hey ive been having problems with videos working one day then looking like this the next:

Does anyone have the same problem? it sucks because i will download a 300mb Video, then il watch it and when i go to watch it the next day it looks like that... and i have a 5gb cap on my broadband so thats a real problem.
Just to let u knw, i bought a new video card around 3-4 months ago, and i had never ever had the problem before that. any suggestions?

EDIT: tell me if the picture is just blank or if it has pink lines thru it because for somereason the picture is still acting like a video and ive tried 3 formats

EDIT 2: Since i couldnt take a pic of the video itself for some reason, here is a picture off the internet of how my some of videos playback:

Hard to say what the problem is, but you could always try to update your video card drivers to the most recent ones.
And you could also try the video in VideoLAN (VLC media player). That program plays most (if not all) video formats without having to download any additional codec's and whatnot.

yea i have done everything that it says on all the websites and help files ive read, including those two things. I did strike a possble cure last night tho, when i was in media player and lowered the hardware/graphics acceleration just for WMP, not for the card itself, and the videos seemed to work. im hoping it stays that way

Damn Flite_23 thats looks like a funky error I use to have.Mine was caused because my video card was overheating.Like I started the computer up and for two minutes it worked fine then, the monitor went black for a second and when it comed back into colours, there were all of the funky colours like you have on the screeny. Also I got some weird error message.Sometimes my monitor shuted down completly. But then I figured my problem out.So what I did was got an extra fan for my computer, installed it and it works like a dream.Don't know if it could be the same, but try getting an extra fan for your computer it could work.
