Sticks Of Hope (free charity thing for cancered kids)

Postby jerry on Sun Jul 23, 2006 11:40 pm

This was posted on another forum and i thought i should share it since it is for a good cause.

Nestle Ice Cream is donating 25 cents to the City of Hope for every message you send to the sick kids. so please goto www.sticksofhope.com and write a short meaningful message. This was stickied on the other forum but it doesnt have to be stickied here, as long as people get the message and spend a few seconds writing a message to donate to City of Hope for sick kids with cancer without actually paying a cent.

if someone is bored they should write a message, copy it, and keep on pasting and submiting it, you are donating 25 cents a message, but from someone else's money. [Right now Nestle isn't even donating $25,000]

that's a bit of a cheap way to waste someone else's money though.

... I made this post for a good reason. If no-one is gonna help out then well idk... and you dont exactly need to just send a million messages of the samething.. just send one meaningful message...if everybody does that then there will be alot of money donated for a good worth.

koberulez, how is it a waste of money?
If you call raising money for kids with cancer a waste, then

I don't about you guys, but i'd struggle to write an emotional connection message to someone i don't know. :? Especially when they're randomly placed on icey pole sticks.

I know if i had cancer and ate an ice cream saying "i beat cancer and so can you. Get well soon." I'd throw it away.

Most of those kids probably don't have a clear concept of death, yet.
Why screw their heads up and the way they see life with messages like "Your life is going to end soon, but don't give up hope! "

I'm not against it, just stating my personal opinion. Nonetheless I still sent a message. No, it's not the message I posted before. I'm not that heartless.
