R.I.P Syd Barrett (Pink Floyd)

Postby Big-D on Wed Jul 12, 2006 5:14 am

LONDON - Syd Barrett, the troubled Pink Floyd co-founder who spent his last years in reclusive anonymity, has died, the band said Tuesday. He was 60.

A spokeswoman for the band said Barrett died several days ago, but she did not disclose the cause of death. Barrett had suffered from diabetes for years.

Trully a sad day for any early Pink Floyd fan. I loved to hear his hits like Arnold Layne, Bike, and See Emily Play. Its wierd how he could do so many drugs and die of diabetes.

Damn,
even though he was Mr "Lets-Take-Acid-And-Write-Music"! the tunes Floyd made when he was on board were still pretty awesome (Y)

R.I.P from a long time Floyd fan :(

RIP. I wouldn't call myself a huge Pink Floyd fan but the stuff I'm familiar with I like.

I stand where Andrew stands on this, I hear alotta about them but have never turned into a real fan of theirs infact to be honest the only track I identify as Pink Floyd would be Another Brick In The Wall, I've heard more of them but simply don't associate some songs with them due to my lack of listening and interest in them.

RIP.
