For any Kevin Smith fans who haven't seen this yet...the official Clerks 2 website has some trailers up.

I've got a feeling it's going to be more like Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back than the original but no complaints here, those two are my favourite in the original Jersey Chronicles series. I didn't bother with Jersey Girl and don't really intend to either.

Speaking of Kevin Smith, he's written some really insightful and interesting pieces about his friendship with Jason Mewes (Jay) and how Mewes has battled and overcome his various addictions over at SilentBobSpeaks.com. If you're a Kevin Smith/Jason Mewes fan I highly recommend it, as it's a great read. He's currently up to Part 7 (Part 1 here) and the story hasn't finished yet.

zomg. I saw the trailer of Clerks 2 and I was like JAY AND SILENT BOB! 111@O@N!!oNE!!!11!! then I forgot what the movie was called.

Now I remember. Well I'll probably watch this movie in the cinemas rather than getting it. Then I'll get it straight after :crazy:

Thats strange, I've never heard of this movie.

Its probably just another stupid movie with a retarded plot trying to steal a few dollars out of your wallet with some cheap laughs.

Saw it weeks ago. First time I saw that Jay Mewes articles though, interesting read.

Thats strange, I've never heard of this movie.

It's the sequel to the famous indy movie Clerks! Have you been living under a rock asdf?

Its probably just another stupid movie with a retarded plot trying to steal a few dollars out of your wallet with some cheap laughs.

It's also funny. It maybe stupid but Clerks 2 looks like a Shakepearean production compared to Dude Where's My Car.

My favourite kind of movie.

I can't wait for the next instalment. Good to know it has a happy ending but it certainly makes me look at a few things in a different perspective on the DVD extras: how thin Jason Mewes looks in the introductions to deleted scenes and other content and some of the remarks in the commentary, as well as references to him nodding off or going to the bathroom for a while.

Part 8 of "Me & My Shadow" is up. I couldn't help but bristle when I read about Kevin Smith's dealings with the staff of the rehab centre. I understand tough love is a part of rehab as far Jason Mewes is concerned but the way they treated Smith sounded quite rude and unprofessional.

strangely, kevin said quite a lot of this, minus references to heroin addiction, on 'an evening with kevin smith' which is a fucking great DVD. good read though, not too sure about Clerks II, i think clerks is one of those movies best left untouched.

I've been thinking of getting that DVD, it does sound like a must-see for a Kevin Smith fan.

He's always been very skinny, yeah. He must have looked downright scary during the low points Kevin Smith described in "Me & My Shadow".

you should definately look at getting it, just like three hours of smith at his best in front of college audiences, some classic moments, when they bring mewes on too, its all funny as hell, pretty much all the anecdotes in me and my shadow are in there. Only problem is that its kinda hard to get in the UK so i dunno if australia is gonna be any easier. Amazon is always your friend

Yeah I've ordered quite a bit from Amazon in the past. I'll look into eBay Australia first though, see if I can get it any cheaper (especially on postage).
