Mr. Smith as the Clown Prince of Crime? Sounds cool!

I like it. More good casting (Y) I think that's something the older Batman movies (with the exception of Batman, and possibly the 2nd one) lacked.

The best idea possible! Damn, this movie won't gonna dissapoint. Nolan will direct once again, won't he?

Hugo's a fine choice, much better than *shudders* Johnny Depp. (The dude in the pic is Crispin Glover.)

Yesh, a.k.a. Williard.

Other suggetions for Joker, given Hugo is just one of the many rumoured to play him.

Paul Bettany, personally I think he'd make a fine choice.
Karl Urban, Bourne Supremacy, has been named too, doubt it'll happen.
Lachy Hulme, dude from Matrix.

That's Crispin Glover('Willard', 'Back to the Future'), not Johnny Depp.

I had quite a sarcastic response for that one, but since it'll result in people asking me to calm down, let's just be "normal and calm".

As Peachy pointed out, I did indeed write it was Glover:

And then in response to Peachy:

Peachy wrote:That the freaky dutch guy that was in Charlie's Angels?

Jackal wrote:Yesh, a.k.a. Williard.

i think johnny depp would make a fantastic joker.. the guy is an incredible, incredible actor.

there have also been rumors circulating around that jake gylenhall will probably play two-face, but take that for what its worth.

they should bring in some crazy characters from the 60's version of batman, like the egghead and kingtut. that would be cool as fuck

heh i'm sorry for contributing to this handcuffing and whiplashing you feel you've experienced. are you over it yet?

...

I think Ed Norton or Cyanide would make a good Joker

or maybe Adrien Brodie.

Thing with Depp is, he's so "likable" and "known". Would people accept him as a out & out bad guy?

Gyllenhall as Dent? Mmm, not feeling that one.

:(

Johnny Depp would make a decent Joker since Burton has nothing to do with the Batman movies anymore. though the filmmakers would have to do a gandolf to him since Depp's height doesn't match the Joker's

He isn't scrawny enough I feel, he's kind of bulky. I think Glover is the perfect lankyness/build for the Joker.

I wouldn't mind Depp though. I'd not like Norton as the Joker though.

Glover was friggin George"Hello? anybody in there" McFly. probably all of the hardcore batman fans know this and will be disappointed if George McFly would be playing the JOker

Ah, not a hardcore Batman fan, never read any of the comics nor did I see many of the cartoons so excuses for not knowing he had already played a role.
