NBA.com Kobe Contest: Can you break 81?

nba.com has started a contest to see who can break Kobe's 81 in NBA LIVE 06. http://www.nba.com/videogames/topkobe_060124.html

Interesting, I might try it out on the weekend.

EDIT: You could cheat by putting the sliders all the way up to 99 with shooting, dunking and other things, so you could get a quintiple double

The best way to win the contest would be to play with two people and replicate the scoring. It would be possibly to do I think, albeit boring and no use unless it's for a great prize.

meh, you can play on one level above the easiest (no rookie, but starter and above), its easy. In 8 mins back in 05 on starter, i could use carter and score 60 but still have the rest of the starters score like 10-20. its EVEN EASIER if you mess with the sliders.

The best performances will be featured on NBA.com, but only if you use the appropriate subject line, so we can read about your scoring exploits. With that kind of glory at stake, Kobe may not be your toughest competition but rather your competition around the world.

k, I played the game on Starter mode, Lakers won 141-101 against the Raptors.

Kobe line: 81 points, 19 assists, 4 rebounds, 7 steals, and 1 block in 32 minutes. He shot 33/47 (70%) and 7/12 from downtown.

Kwame scored 26 and 11 rebounds, and Odom added 25 and grabbed 11 boards.

I'm sure most people can do better than this, but this was just for kicks. Screw nba.com.

i had 79 points, 5 rebounds, 13 assists, 7 steals, 2 blocks with two minutes to go and i fucking fouled out.

i could've had many more points, but i was actually trying to share the ball. god dammit, i'm pissed.

I came 3 points short of 81 in Janurary. It was an overtime game though , so Jasikevicius had to score in overtime , while Kobe scored 81 in 4 quarters. I didn't win the game either.
