Windows XP activation

ive got a mate who installed windows but hasnt activated it yet,
what happens when the time expires?
is there any way to bypass it?

i cant remember when i last did it...

It's so easy to activate, just call then damn number they give you. And listen for the activation code.

Alternatively you can just activate it online, even if you don't have an Internet connection. The software will dial a number (fortunately not an international one) that will allow you to connect and activate XP. Otherwise it won't let you use Windows until you do.

WHen I activated it it too kme 1 min. I just did it last week.
