URGENT question on mi computer!!!

Postby BiGrEd819 on Tue Jan 17, 2006 8:47 am

I recently reformatted my computer and i completely forgot about backing up my network driver and it got deleted. I need the network driver to connect to the internet and setup a network with other computers in the house.

Does anybody have any suggestions to what i can do?

How can i find what kind of network driver i have so i can download the driver online?

where is the network hardware located inside the computer?

Any kinda help will be appreciated

Ask your computer for advice. Apparently they are uber smart.

I got fed up with my computer once. So I went to "Search" in the Start menu and typed "Tell me how to fix the fucking problem you useless cunt". I just got a bunch of porn, no answers to my initial question.

I refuse to answer on the grounds that I may incriminate myself.

Not that any of it was illegal

You can download the network driver from the support and downloads section of your manufacturer's website. That's where I got all my driver downloads when I reformatted my PC.

I'd recommend going into System Properties - hardware management, and looking under network adapters. Then see what the model number and name and stuff is of your card, and throw bits of info into google followed by "driver"... often you will get some good results. Driverguide.com is a good site for them.
