is it possible to rotate brushes in photoshop

I just brush, then Ctrl-click the layer to select it and go to Transform>Rotate>Rotate Selection or whatever to spin it whichever way I want.

But be sure there's nothing other than the brush effect on that layer.

You can have them randomly rotate by going into Brushes --> Shape Dynamics...
