DivX help needed.

The DivX movies plays choppy on Windows Media player.
I already have the latest codecs installed. Still choppy.

Do I need to play the movie in DivX player so it could play smoothly or do I just need to configure some settings?

I figured it out, it has something to do with the configuration of the codec.
It plays smoothly now but the sound is way ahead of the image being shown, it's not simultaneous.
Guess I better do some more tweaking.

Or, as hipn said, give VLC a go. I'm 99% sure that it'll work for you.
Plus, you don't have to wory about it installing a bunch of other crap on your computer... Just a player and it's codec.

I have so many codecs installed I couldnt advise you which one to take. I know on some anime forums they have like a Community Codec pack with all the necessities to make stuff run like a charm. Go check around, I think KicKassanime has it.... not sure though.

Wow, I'm surprised at VLC media player.
It's still in it's beta stages yet it plays well. I played a movie right off the bat after installation and it plays smooth. The only thing I had to tweak was the volume.

...What does the look matter for? If you're watching a movie, don't you maximise it to your entire desktop?

Don't get your panties in a bunch. I just think it's uber moronic that something as unimportant as that gets to you, then again, it's a complicated world we live in. Rock on dude. :headbang:

You can change the skin of the player. You can even download additional skins. (Y)
