  • The Silence Of The Lambs.
  • The Shawshank Redemption.
  • Schindler's List.

I haven't seen very many classics, but stuff like Godfather, Star Wars, Black Hawk Down, Harold and Kumar, Meet the Parents, Forrest Gump, School of Rock (I have to say it) and the Lord of the Rings series. All pretty good movies.

Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down immediately come to mind when I think about favourites. I also like Happy Gilmour, Billy Madison, Meet the Parents, Dodgeball and a few other comedies that I can't really remember right now. The Matrix was also a favourite, but it's a shame that they made a complete 180 turn on the sequels......

I didn't like Black Hawk Down. It was the run of the mill story. One guy dies, one guy is saved & repeat.

I liked Black Hawk Down, but really, there's other movies that are better. Saving Private Ryan, imo, trumps Black Hawk Down by far. I still haven't seen Full Metal Jacket, but at least I managed to watch Apocalypse Now (I didn't really enjoy it, but Marlon Brando was brilliant)

Jackal wrote:One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

That's one movie I want to watch. I keep hearing about how brilliant Jack Nicholson was in that movie. Shawshank Redemption is another one of the top movies that I haven't seen, but I might watch that tonight

Saving Private Ryan was an awesome movie too, Cyanide. It's hard to choice for me since I love both of them and they were both very well made and directed. But I think Black Hawk Down is a bit better in realism and just sheer entertainment. Maybe it's because it's more modern and I know what modern warfare is more like than I did WWII.

Men of Honour was also a top movie.

The Hurricane too, that was some good acting from Denzel Washington. A Civil Action too, Philadelphia also.

One Flew was/is an awesome movie. That's by far the best Jack Nicholson movie ever.

I only saw part of Training Day from about the middle to the end, but I forgot how much I liked it. The plot twists were really strange, stuff I didn't expect.
