u have to get dot layer, make it or browse for it in somwhere. It has to be with transparent b/g, then just take magic wand tool and select transpatent area, and then press select inverse and it will select the dots (before that u have to paste in logo u want) then switch off the dot layer so the selection remains, then swithc on the logo layer and press ctrl+c then delette all layers and press ctrl+v.... i messed up your mind (Y) but i can do it but can't tell

hundreds of ways to do that.. the simplest and most fundamentally sound being to define your own pattern

1) create a new document (10 x 10 pixels)
2) select the elipse tool
3) hold alt to constrain ratio start from the center drag to desired size (taking space into account)
4) right click and select fill path
5) press enter
6) menu: edit > define pattern
7) call it dots

then in the layer that you want to have the dots.. edit its style bevel and emboss > texture.. select the pattern and play around with it.. takes 1 to 2 mins tops

I was looking for something like this too. I can't select fill path, though :x. I created an elipse holding alt, and right-clicked, but fill path is grey, not black, so I can't select it. Any help?

when you select the shape tool there is a group of 3 icons at the top left of the screen (below file menu), just right of the tool presets drop down box..

the left one is the shape tool.. that will create a color adjustment layer with a vector mask.. which u can change the color of by clicking the left hand thumbnail in the layers tab

the middle one is the path tool that creates paths which you can then manipulate, use to stroke or fill, or use as a vector mask

the right one is the fill pixels option that by default fills the shape you make with the foreground colour... which I'm guessing is what you did..

Thanx, that was the problem. I can't really get the effect, but it's probably because I don't know enough about Photoshop. I'll keep trying.
