I'm gonna try to sell my pc (with 17" screen) for about 200$ before going to England.
So i'm guessing we have about the same specs: 2ghz? 348mb DDR ram?, ATI Radeon 128mb grphcard?, 80gb diskspace?

Jeez filip, that's better than my computer... I hope it's worth more than 175$...

I'm gonna guess
P3 800mhz or celeron 600mhz
128 mb RAM
10 gb Hard Drive

Monitorless, I'm assuming.

Then canandian prices are very high then. You can barely sell a 1ghz pc here, we threw away my fathers old PC which was a AMD 700mhz.

If we lived in the same country I could've sold you mine :(

LOL man, you should never throw out a computer because they can all be used for something, infact my secondary internet computer is a p2 350mhz...

www.thetrailingedge.ca it's a local store where they sell used compys, you can see what some of the usual prices are like here, and why I'm so surprised that Wisdom got that for 175$.

Well we didn't have any use for that pc, nothing was working properly on the fucker anyways.

Well, the only good part on Wisdom's PC is the processor and the hardrive, but it's very cheap (y)

Next time I buy myself a new pc I'm gonna buy one with a big hardrive and a lot of RAM, the rest can suck since I'm only plan to use my next PC for Internet, music, pictures & movies (& maybe some cyberface makin').

My dad gets a discount every year from his company. This year he chose to get the computer. I wanted a 3.0Ghz P4 but it was not available at that time. But if it was i could have got it for around 290-310$ depending on what type of CPU (Compaq, Dell or w/e)

My friend built his computer using custom parts, and he managed to get a 3 GHz, 2 GB RAM, and 200 GB hard drive, a new case and motherboard all for $600, without monitor and used a previously bought graphics card.

Right now I'd like a computer like that, but I have no funds and this computer (the family one) really suffices. If I had a job though I might like to build a mini-itx computer for internet and homework and stuff.. check them out, they're cool because theyre small and silent. Specs aren't as good but you can run linux or whatever on them.

I have so many old computers! p2350mhz, celeron 500mhz, p1166mhz, 486dx (which I just got to run with only a keyboard, psu, motherboard, and graphics card, no case or anything and I had to guess where everything plugged lol, the parts were sitting in a box). Oh and I may get a p2400mhz laptop hopefully. (all this has been for free btw)

Wish I could get a 2.4ghz computer for 175$ tho!
