Postby Fitzy on Sat Apr 23, 2005 9:50 am

Hey guys, im organising some songs for a school disco and was wondering if you have any suggestions? Like up beat hip hop, rock and songs that are just awsome. Eg DMX- Where da hood at and Skillet- Savior are wat im looking for.

'Guerilla Black - It's Black' really gets me hyped nowadays.

A couple I got from quickly scanning one of my music folders...
Method Man & Redman - Da Rockwilder (and pretty much every other song they've made together)
Pharoahe Monch - Simon Says
Eric B. & Rakim - Lyrics of Fury/Paid In Full
Erick Sermon ft. Redman - React
Mobb Deep - Cobra Clutch
Pharoahe Monch ft. Mos Def, Nate Dogg - Oh No
Saigon ft. Kool G Rap - Letter P
Rakim - R.A.K.I.M.
Wu-Tang Clan - Uzi

I guess if it's for a disco type thing I'd go with these...

AFI - Girl's Not Grey
AFI - Total Immortal
AFI - Death Of Seasons
HIM - I Love You
HIM - It's All Tears
HIM - Rebel Yell
Breaking Benjamin - Breakdown
Fall Out Boy - The Patron Saint of Liars and Fakes
Fall Out Boy - The Pros and Cons of Breathing
White Stripes - Fell In Love With A Girl

If you want real old school rock then pretty much anything by Creedence Clearwater Revival 8-)

Don't choose any of Jae's suggestion unless you wanna kill the Party.
Not saying that Jae songs are bad but I would never use them in a disco if I were a DJ, it has to be more commercial shitty music that everyone knows and heard before.

Which is basicly: Britney Spears latest hit, 50 cents latest hit & Beyonce latest hit.
Also some old classics will work like: Michael Jackson - Don't stop til you get enough (y) & Stevie Wonder - Sir Duke etc.

Good luck (y)

:headbang: CCR goes off....maybe I should throw in their CD....they might have been hippies, but few of today's artists compare to CCR....
