Looks really neat.....I might actually consider purchasing a baseball game this time around. :)

I thought that they were doing away with the MVP Baseball series?
Anyways, I hope it is as good as 2004
I enjoyed it
I hope Bonds is in this one

Bonds is like Jordan when it comes to video games. He owns the rights to his name and doesn't allow it to be used. They just create a generic player as SF's left fielder, even though they create a cyberface, audio name and portraits for him, and you can use them if you know how to patch.

The one major upgrade MVP has over the other EA sports titles is the minor leagues. Last year they had every AAA and AA team, and this year they added another round of A teams, so you can develop players you dont want to use on your big league roster. I think both the NBA and NHL series should add this to their games. An NBDL league would be useful to develop the talent you dont want to use yet.

The only problem I have with MVP is that they ususally only make playewr faces for maybe 4-5 players on each team. Last year it was a little better, about 8-12, but they seemed to overdo it on the legends faces, when most people would prefer it if hal their lineup wasn't using generic faces.

mvp was awesome, loved the minor leagues(only after i downloaded the sharkport full minors stuff).since i was the brewers i would be getting my ass kicked on a major league level but in AA and AAA i would be crushing everyone with all the top prospects we have. i only wish ea could license the minor league though it would be an ardous task to go through all the players. cant wait for this one to come out.

I checked out the review on gamespot.com of this game and it looks pretty sweet. You can even argue with the umps and get thrown out :D I think I'm going to buy this game.

i just got it on thursday. it is pretty sweet. the learning curve is actually about 15 minutes. after you get hit by a pitch, if you hit 'triangle' on the ps2, you can charge the mound. :D

bad part: roster up to date till 1/12/05. meaning no sosa on o's and delgado's still a FA.

i think there's a glitch though....
i'm using seattle and adrian beltre injured his finger and was put on the 5 day DL.
after 5 days, i can't find him on my roster or lineup. later, i find out that he's become a free agent.... did i do something wrong????

I just got this game today, and it's pretty sweet. Like above it took me about 15 minutes to get the hang of it (but I'm still on easy difficulty because I'm pretty bad at baseball games). I've also charged the mound after getting hit, which was pretty sweet. The new hitter's eye is pretty cool as well, it helps a good bit on slow pitches. The trick as far as hitting goes is to use the control stick when you swing if you want to try to hit one out of the park.

I bought the game today and am having lots of fun with it. The new mini-games are pretty fun too, I enjoy playing with them, mostly the hitting one. The :new: Owner Mode has taken the same concept as Madden has done in 04' and 05'. The create a ballpark feature is pretty cool once you starting unlocking all the upgrades. At the beginning it seems pretty dull, but it gets better. The gameplay is pretty much the same as 04' to me, just a few more additions. Of course the Hitter's Eye, you can argue with the ump and get thrown out. All in all its a great game, and only $30. So i suggest all you baseball fans, or even if you partly like baseball to go out and get this one (Y)

Either when they make a bad call it gives you an option, or you go to the screen where you bring up your bullpen without going to the menu? Well when u bring that up, it will have it as an option, you have to do it fast though. I am not sure what button it is exactly

I've only seen the AI team argue (they called me safe at home when I was out by a mile :) ), I've never gotten a chance to. They didn't get thrown out though.

MVPSC? Maybe?

Great game. If you're cheap, ESPN's franchise is always low-priced. ESPN has amazing shadowing compared to MVP, but that's about it. Don't they have a create-a-stadium mode that's only accessible through Owner mode?
